Cheesy Smoked Turkey Chowder

Serves: 4-6
Ingredients
- 2 cups Nueske Smoked Turkey, diced into cubes
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced into 1/2-inch cubes
- 3 cups chicken broth or stock
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions
- In large sauce pan, bring broth to boil
- Add potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about 15 minutes
- Meanwhile, melt butter in separate sauce pan and stir in flour
- Gradually add milk, stirring continously
- Cook over low heat until slightly thickened
- Stir in cheese until just melted; add milk mixture to broth mixture
- Add smoked turkey
- Heat through and serve immediately
