Creamed Smoked Turkey over Toast

A tasty alternative to chipped beef, this smoked turkey dish will be a hit with the whole family.

Ingredients
- 4 cups Nueske smoked turkey, diced into cubes
- 1 1/2 cups peas, frozen
- 1 cup half and half
- 2 cups milk
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 6 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 - 3/4 tsp pepper
- 8 slices warm toast
Directions
- Place peas in colander, run under hot tap water until thawed
- In 10-inch skillet over medium low heat, melt butter
- Stir in flour with fork or whisk until blended
- Gradually stir in milk and half & half; simmer until thickened
- Add turkey, peas, salt and pepper
- Heat just to boiling
- Serve immediately over warm toast
