Pine Needle Green - This lovely tea is grown in Mengku County of Lincang. It’s a local varietal, a hybrid of pure Assamica and Ye Bai Hao. The tea is fried by and in a wok, rolled, wilted very very briefly and then dried by hand in a wok again. At this final stage the tea is pressed flat again to make is straight and pointy. The finished product is a silver and green needled tea that locals call “Song Zhen” (Pine Needles). In addition to its beautiful appearance, the tea brews up a lovely bright green-yellow with hints of raw chestnut and umami. The tea is thick and lubricating to the mouth and throat. A fine Yunnan green tea that is complex, delicate and satisfying.
Organic & Fair Trade White Peony - Our 2 ounce organic White Peony comes from Zhenghe town in Fujian Province, the original birthplace of white tea centuries ago. The traditional name Bai Mu Dan is a popular style of white tea made from young tea leaves and silvery unopened leaf buds. Distinguished by being plucked in “budsets” of one or two leaves and a bud, this tea has a sophisticated mouthfeel with a slightly stronger body than Silver Needle. A gentle and slow air-dry withering process results in a brilliant amber infusion with a honey-like viscosity, mellow-sweet notes of fresh hay, accents of nectar, and mild flavor that pairs well with food.
Four Seasons Oolong - Our 2 ounce Four Seasons Oolong is harvested from a special, relatively “modern” tea plant species that was developed in 1980 in Taiwan’s Alishan mountain region and imported in North Thailand first in 1994. This only very lightly fermented tea with a fermentation degree of 10% or below offers the best of two worlds: the fresh and tart taste of a beautiful Green Tea combined with typical earthy and nutty Oolong note. The intensive, rich scent in the first infusion, already telling quite a good bit of the taste experience to expect. Four Seasons Oolong Tea, a top-quality tea for tea lovers with the highest demands, shows a wonderful light green and yellow color in the infusion.
