Proper seasoning: Use mineral oil and hand washing for years of use
Complete sizing is as follows: For the 16-inch peel --> paddle is 16 inches wide, 18 inches long, and 26 inches overall with an 8-inch handle (included in measurement).
For the 14-inch peel --> paddle is 14 inches wide, 16 inches long, and 24 inches overall with an 8-inch handle (included in measurement).
Both peels are 3/4 inches thick and tapers down to 1/4 inch at one edge.

The picture does not do this peel justice...this is a beautiful piece of wood, flawlessly fashioned into a peel that is almost too pretty to use; but you can bet that it will get used...for many years to come!

Pizza Peel
Pretty piece. Precicely what I envisioned. I flatten and more or less shape my pizza dough on my dough board, lift and stretch the dough with my hands and then I lay my well-floured peel on the board and lay the dough onto my peel. The peel lays flat on the board and I build my pizza (sauce, cheese etc.) on my peel. The uncooked pizza slides with a shake onto my hot pizza stone. One time I did not flour liberally enough the edges of my peel and I did not have a clean slide onto my stone - my bad. Anyway, the peel has cleaned up great after 4 times of use. It "feels" well made and that it will last a long time.

Used it several times now. First, it is beautiful. It works perfectly. Thought I needed wider peel, and wish I got smaller one now, but that was my issue. Cleaned well. My guess is it will last a very long time because it feels and so well made.

Nice product, responsive customer service
Peel is solid, engraving is nice. When I submitted, I tried typing a heart, but that did not go through on processing. I emailed that if they were unable to do the heart to use a ~. They responded that the vendor will be notified. I got the ~, but it's better then a ? if I can't have a heart!
