Potter's Crackers

Madison, Wisconsin. Potter's Crackers is a Madison food company that was started in 2006 by Nancy and Peter Potter. Their mission was to sustainably produce organic crackers of the highest quality. After multiple phases of expansion that brought new and exciting Potter’s Crackers products to homes, restaurants, and markets throughout the country, a well-deserved retirement was on the horizon for Nancy. In 2019, long-time Potter’s employee David Payne acquired the business and was eager to take responsibility for the company that had become a home away from home to him.  David was hired as a baker in 2010 and held various positions with the company up until 2019, taking over ownership of Potter’s Crackers after Nancy retired.  As the Potter’s Crackers team moves forward, they strive to stay true to their roots.  A business which supports local sustainable agricultural partnerships and contributes to Wisconsin’s long history of conservation and land stewardship.  Today they continue to produce nutritious, small batch, organic crackers, oyster crackers, and bread crisps that are well known for their discernable quality and formidable standing next to high quality cheese and charcuterie.
