This knife block is available in your choice of layers of cherry and walnut, OR layers of oak and walnut, OR layers of hickory and walnut. It is ideal for most steak knife sets and will keep them safe and handy on your table. As with all our blocks, a clear lacquer varnish ensures a long-lasting, durable finish. Felt dots on the bottom keep your table surface from being scratched.

Please note that no stain is used on any of our wood pieces. All woods are shown in their natural colors and are finished with a clear lacquer. The lacquer does not change the natural color of the wood. Cherry will naturally darken with age and become a deeper red. Walnut is a deep brown, and red oak is a light tan. Please take time to look at the photos, which illustrate the natural colors of the various woods.

I ordered this block for a set of steak knives I got for Christmas to protect the blade. The wood is very nicely finished & I love the varied colors. I would order another if I needed one. Great job!

I've been looking for a knife holder for my steak knives that is made of wood and doesn't take up a lot of space. The handcrafted holder I found here is perfect. It's both very well made and the wood is beautifully finished. It is truly an item made with a lot of care and skill. The price was great and the transaction was handled very well. I'm totally pleased.
